Scheduled practice? Empty Scheduled practice?

Post by TIM3TOD1E Mon Jan 18, 2010 1:12 pm

Would a scheduled practice sound like a good idea? I like how we have been saying who's gonna be on when, but i would like to get to know everyone in the clan and this seems to be kind of hard. I know things are just getting going, but i think this would be a great idea. I know people have lives and committing a certain time weekly may be tough, but i really feel that this would be essential to a clan that is growing as fast as it seems we are. I think weekend mornings would be a prime time (well for me at least). What does everyone think about this?

I think thats a really good idea and its partly what makes clans diffrent from a random group of people, I'll be willing to go to any practices.

This was definitely on my list of things to get set up for this clan. I want to get about 12 official members then I was going to work on setting up some weekly practice times. Before this happens though I need to get the co-leaders in order and get in games with the ten or so applicants I have yet to play with. Don't worry though. It is definitely on the way though. I think this is going to be a key part in starting our XBL dominance. Ha.

yah i figured that it was on the list. Right now i figured it would be a better way for the members right now to play together more, not so much as a practice. I would like to see what each member's strong point is. And what their contribution towards battles would help the best.

I'm down for this - that's if I get accepted to the clan Wink

I think having a plan going into a match is key to a winning team.

well i'll base my ideas off the clan im in thats based on a game called Runescape.
Well how its done with my clans in the Runescape community for actual clan wars is that you contact leaders of another clan, set up a time and date rules bounds etc. Then have a leader post a topic about it on the site showing the rules time it starts bounds when, where, when to mass (mass means when to get on) Then members just post on that topic on their chances of actually going there 1-45% no 46-75% maybe 76-100% Yes. Then just make a sign up list and that list will tell you how much you will presumably pull. Same goes for fun events plan fun events and try out different times to see when u get your best pulls of people. Most people prefer weekends.
Example of the RS Community: http://forums.zybez.net/forum/354-clan-fights/
So really just try and find a website that is similar to that. That alot of clans post on and many people read. i Dont know if MW2 has a community like rs does but i sure hope so for it makes it all that much funner.
Personally i haven't been able to find a website like Runescape Community. I just dont know what to search lol

game battles is a very good web sit to get compotion... i tryed get a clan but it had no suscuss.

game battles is for every one.

i love the idea to this practice.
i think you should do it in excel and have a little chart.
if you are going to do this, you might need a clock next to the chart so every has the same time.
i am new at all this but i am just tying to help out !
thanks.

Yeah this is all going to be in the works with the forming of our GameBattles team(s). There will be scheduled practice times that everyone can attend, although the GB team will always play together for obvious reasons. Everyone will be welcome to attend though and we'll all learn and get better together. I learn a little from everyone by just spectating when I'm dead in Search or Headquarters.

I think we should have two practices, one during the week and one on the weekends. you would only have to go to one.

Practice sounds like a really good idea for the clan.

Not to mention, with the GB coming up it is even more important for us to be the best.

I have not been accepted into the clan yet but im sure if i get a tryout and whatnot i will be so ima go ahead and throw my 2 cents in on clan practices. Two practices a week, each member MUST make at least one of them unless decent excuse. Weekday nites, becuz of school and work for everone during the day, and weekend morning, cuz every is out getting hammered on weekend nites. I liked the idea of an A squad B squad type deal, but i feel the members need to know how they can advance through the ranks and earn a higher title or be placed on a better team. like set rules for advancing in the ranks. weather it be attendance or just based on consistant skill or both you know? no one wants to feel like they deserve better than F squad, and not no how to move up.

I dont think practiices are going to happen any time soon, the clan is purly for fun now and practices are somthing competitive clans do. We never really had practices when the clan was growing so i wouldnt count on practices.

Not looking to good for practices. The clan is pretty much on a hiatus right now due to things that have come up and to time constraints on Kurupt and I. An overhaul of the forum page is in the works and also a more laid back clan were us gamers can have fun be ourselves and not be pressured to win, win, win. Although winning is great, having fun playing the game how each of us want to play it should be paramount. Plus in another 6 months this game will more than likely be old news. There are a small band of us still gaming, but the clan itself is pretty much in a rebuilding stage.
