Capture Card

Hey Kurupt just curious if you have used your capture card yet. And if so If its worth picking one up???

Well my first question would be do you play in HD or SD?

Having asked that, if you play in standard definition or don't mind it the Pinnacle Dazzle is a good product. Easy to set up, easy editing tool and such. I personally can't play in SD though. I've been playing my 360 on an HDTV since the day I got it about three or four years ago.

Now if you want to go HD, I recommend a Hava Capture Device. They're a bit more pricey at $150 - $250 depending on the model you get as opposed to the $90 for the dazzle, but you can hook up, play and record all in HD where as the Dazzle you can only play and capture in Standard Definition. I'm personally going to put up the extra cash and get the Hava when I get back from my vacation at the end of the month.

Yeah I had an HDTV for a bit, had to get rid of it cause my car broke down and it needed repairs. So Im back on the SDTV, so I picked up a Pinnacle Dazzle DVC100. Its pretty sweet but shy of the quality of the Hava or a HD PVR like a lot of the Youtube guys I watch use.

Hey guys, so I'm going to order a Hava HD placeshifter this week so I don't have to play in crappy standard definition to record games anymore. So once it arrives I'll be recording and posting our good games. I want to do some sort of private match games where I can spectate some of our players and put together some sort of recruiting montage for the various cod forums. If you guys have any ideas let me know.

that would be sweet. i used to have halo 2 montages, but i cant remember were they went lol. prob on an old crashed hard drive

Hey guys, so I just placed an order for my Hauppauge HD PVR, but it's back ordered until March 8th so hopefully by the end of the month I'll be up and recording our games and practices. Also I'll be recording the recruiting montage shortly after. I just need some ideas guys.. I've got a few cooked up but I'd like a few opinions for some different points of view. So we should have some high quality vids out there soon! If any of you are unaware of the quality I think all of you have seen Sandy Ravages vids, he uses the same PVR that I'm getting. Now I'll just have to get a better video editing program. Ha. So send me those ideas!

im not sure yet on ideas but ill keep searching the web to find new ideas. i ordered a dazzle and it should be here by the time i get my xbox back so i am gonna start posting vids just for commentaries and montages. and i think you should get sony vegas 9 haha. i know its a bit pricey but its worth it. im running pinn. studio 14 and it seems to work pretty well.

The new HD PVR should be here on Thursday or Friday so I should have it up and running for Saturdays gaming session. Time to start getting those videos up.

i will try to record saturday as well. and whenever i can get on till then. hopefully i will be able to fit in some sessions tomorrow. homework has been killer these last couple days.. it sucks
