Prestiging

So I think I've decided that I'm not going to prestige anymore. I think once I hit Level 70 in my 2nd prestige I'm just going to stay there. I want to work on all my gun challenges, titles and emblems. When I got the game I was going to make the run to 10th Prestige but with getting nothing special other than five more create a class spots and a handful of titles I don't really see it being worth it anymore. Not to mention with all the people that boosted, cheated and glitched their way to 10th Prestiges it really isn't even a status symbol anymore. It's almost like what having a gold cross on COD 4 meant the last 6 months leading up to MW2. Nothing because everyone had one.

Anyway I was just wondering what the rest of you thought about prestiging. Are you going to keep doing so?

I think I would if everyone didn't go into the 10th Prestige lobbys and boost the status. That's just me though.

i was thinking that im just going to get to 70 then unlock some gun challenges and whenever i get bored i was going to try a prestige. its how i did it in cod 4 and worked out pretty good. it gives you something to look forward to and lets you focus more on the game and not just to get to the next prestige. just my view on it though...

I prestiged once on cod 4 and thats probably what i will do again on modern warfare 2, but after that im not going to. i dont really care about the titles and i can live without the extra class slots.

i always say i am not going to do it, but i like the feeling of making my way to the top. and dominating people when i am a level 3 and they are a 70 with better guns with sites. lol

the game ends to me when i dont prestige. i play lvl 70 for a day or two but i get bored never lvling up and just sitting there. as far as 10th prestige i woulnt go to it even if there wasnt the hack. i think the emblem looks retarded, if i ever do make it prestige 9 is what i want.

Same for me, I just get bored when I'm not leveling up. Prestiged the second I could this time round!

I think Im gonna LvL to 70 on the first prestige and stay there a while. I wana get fall camo for a weapon this go round c ause I think it looks cool! And then like J Money said when I get bored I'll prestige. I wish there was more reward for prestiges cause it takes a while to lvl. especialy if you dont play constantly.

Don't you get fall camo ranking up to level 70? My Famas or m16 when ranking normally get the Fall Camo as goes for my sniper

Fall Camo is awarded for completing the final head shot challenge for that weapon, I think it's 250 head shots with that particular weapon.

i think he ment by the time he gets there he has fall. and was surprised he didn't have it by now

I go through phases with the different guns so I have trouble sticking with one to get the 250 headshots to get the fall camo.

Uhm in cod4 i stayed non-prestiged level 70 and i kinda wish i would have done the same in this game =( but i think me and fat guy are going to get 5th then stop
